There are so many benefits to working out. Scientific evidence shows a link between regular physical activity to various measures of cardiovascular health. Cardiovascular exercise can increase exercise tolerance, improve good (HDL) cholesterol, reduce body weight, blood pressure and lower bad (LDL) cholesterol. Along with cardiovascular activity, combining this with strength training 2 - 3 times per week also has important benefits. Strength training increases muscle strength and can improve flexibility and balance. This is especially important for the older population. It increases bone strength which is vital for women as they enter menopause. Strength training can also improve one's mental state and improve sleep quality. The combination of the two types of exercise improves self-confidence and self-esteem which can greatly impact one's quality of life, and at Results Personal Training Studio we offer both cardiovascular and weight training!
